Along with 120 participants from different parts of the world, Mheljor General, a member of the BU UNESCO Club joined the International Conference on Global Citizenship at Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR), Bandung, Indonesia last January 14-25, 2014.
With the theme “Moving toward Zero Catastrophe”, the said conference aims to strengthen the process of internationalization and prepare students in contributing positively to the global community through disaster management.The conference also aims to promote the culture and tourism of Indonesia.

Seventy-five (75) students coming from several countries across Asia, Europe, North America and Africa participated in the confab. Along with them 25 local delegates from Indonesia.
“It’s an honor to represent Bicol University in that international conference.” General said.Together with General are the other 12 Filipino students from different universities in the Philippines.
Moreover, he also encou- rages students to apply in different national and international conferences, not only for the sake of experience but also to have a broader civic and education engagement.
